Balmung warpped to The Hulle Granz Cathedral waiting for the new member of the world to show. He had heard from a friend that there was a n00b and since he was the leader of the n00b support guild he thought he'd help the guy out.

"Huh, so that's how it works." Two-Ton-Tekeshi4 noted as he appeared outside the doors to the chathedral. "Just say three ominous soundin' words, and you're off on an adventure. Heh." He puffed out his ample chest and called out the area name in a deeper bass than normal. "Hidden Forbidden Holy Ground. Yes, welcome to Hidden Forbidden Holy Ground, Hero Tekeshi, and to your doom."
He took slow, heavy steps and chuckled, smacking his knuckles together. "C'mon, where's the monsters, then? I can't wait to start smashing heads and gaining levels."

"Sorry to ruin your fun but there are no monsters here. The reason I called you here is that I need you to tell me one thing. Do you know the legend of Aura, Tekeshi?" Balmung asked as he came out the cathedrals doors.

"No monsters?" Tekeshi said, flabbergasted. "Whaddya mean there are no monsters here? Man, I was hoping to get some real action with this guy!" He pouted, a childish action that for a man of his size was almost comical. "Aura? That like this game's mana or something, 'cause I don't know nothing about casting those hocus pocus battle spells." He walked to the edge of the walkway and looked over the little wall at the abyss that the cathedral seemed to float on. Just who was the architect behind these places?

"No. Aura is supposedly the goddess of this world. Her statue once stood in this very place. here, I'll put a pic of her." he said. "Come inside with me." he said while motioning toward Tekeshi.

Tekeshi shrugged and followed the man. "Godess? Nice piece of meta fiction for you there, but I'm not one o' those guys who gets that into the game.. I suppose she gives your character some kinda cool boost if you use spells with her name in it or something?" He looked up at the vaulted cielings, the undisturbed pews, the giant pedestal which he assumed once held the statue in question. "Nice place you got here." He said nocommitedly, "You sure there's nothing I can get experience from here?"

Balmung turned around and said "Oh, she'll do more than just that. she can let you have the one thing in this world not even the admins can delete. her braclet. As for monsters, I'll take you to some after we finish our discusion."

"Fair enough." Tekeshi let his gaze wander, letting these revelations come to him with more than an appropriately subdued manner. "What exactly do you mean, the admins can't delete it? I thought they were like gods here. Or is it something tiny everyone's supposed to get, like some kinda level up artifact?" He looked Balmung over for the jewlery piece in question. "Is that what you're trying to tell me? Is there some kinda quest I'm supposed to go on to find this bracelet before I can start anything?" He punched into his palm emphatically. "Go on, man. Gimme the words; I'll go running into this dungeon or whatever needs to be run into. They won't be able to stop Two-Ton-Tekeshi when I get my stride going!"

"No. it's not some level up item. And plus you can't get it from a dungeon. Aura must personaly give it to you. But noone's seen her since R:2. Hmm. Anyway you were asking to go monster hunting, correct?" he asked as if wanting to get out of the conversation he started.

"If no one's seen her, how do you know she even exists in this game?" Tekeshi scowled, "And what's the point of all this, anyway? Goddesses, disappearing statues, bracelets... what does any of this have to do with anything? I know some people are all for getting into the game, and its back story and all that, but this is taking things a bit far. It's just a game, right? Just a bunch of code and numbers made to look like a church and a pair of fighters. Maybe if you ask the admins nicely, they'll make a little goddess you can chase all through cyberspace to your heart's content."
He sighed, waving dismissively. "Anyway, that's what I think. Of course, that might just be me being impatient."

"That's not true. About the 'no one has seen her' thing, it's not true. The truth is that I've seen her. Twice accually. While I played in R:1. Plus you got me all wrong, I'm not obsessed with her, okay. Now let's go get some monsters so we can level up." Balmung said turning to the doors of the cathedral.
